Fly Fishing and Fly Tying

Platteville Community Arboretum Nature Camp

On Wednesday, June 20, 2012, Nohr Chapter members helped volunteer for a day during the Platteville Community Arboretum's "Nature Camp" to teach young children about fishing and fly fishing. This Nature Camp, sponsored by the Platteville Community Arboretum and the City of Platteville Recreation Department, was an 8-day summer recreation program for students in 4th through 6th grade full of nature activities and outdoor fun. Nohr Chapter members took the students to a pond near Platteville to teach them about fishing and fly fishing equipment, knot tying, fish identification, fly identification, fly casting, and being a responsible fisherman or woman.
